Project Overview

This project was made possible through a generous donation through TC Energy's Community Investment program, Build Strong. This provided critical equipment for both auto extrication operations and embankment rope rescue scenarios that our volunteer firefighters frequently encounter in our rural community.

Equipment/Training Capabilities:

• Vehicle stabilization struts for enhanced scene and patient safety.
• Complete rope rescue systems for embankment operations.
• Anchoring systems and rigging equipment.
• Pulleys, carabiners, and rescue ropes.

Operational Impact:

The stabilization struts significantly improve safety during vehicle extrication by preventing vehicle movement while our firefighters work to free trapped occupants. The rope rescue equipment enables our team to safely perform rescues on steep embankments and challenging terrain common in the Bear Lake area.
